Our Projects

The Foundation has two broad areas of focus and the projects undertaken reflect this approach. The first is working towards sustainable propogation of Buddhism and the other is the practice of compassion through community service projects.

The approach adopted towards sustainability is to increase effectiveness of monks, hence projects which are meant to increase the skills of monks through better equipped education and training centres. Another approach is to reduce the number of monks disrobing by looking into the welfare of monks especially in their later years.

Propogation is also supported through increasing availability of the teachings of the Buddha.

The policy adopted towards community service is for projects to alleviate poverty through education. This is deemed a more sustainable approach although requiring long-term effort.
